Reforestation

At Surf Canaries, we’re planting roots beyond the waves. In collaboration with the Foresta Foundation and the Canarian Government, we’re dedicated to reforesting key areas across Gran Canaria to restore native ecosystems, combat erosion, and fight climate change. To date, we’ve planted over 500 trees, and our efforts continue to grow. Every tree planted is a step towards a greener, healthier island.

🌱 Sponsor, offset carbon or dedicate a tree!

One of our favorite local initiatives is the Surf Canaries Forest. In partnership with the Foresta Foundation, we're planting trees to make a positive environmental impact on the island—and we’re inviting our students and supporters to get involved!

For just €15 per tree, you can sponsor a tree, carbon offset your vacation, or dedicate a tree to someone special. 100% of your donation goes directly to the Foresta Foundation, a non-profit organization. They provide the land, water, and ongoing maintenance to ensure the trees thrive until they reach maturity.

Thanks to the hard work of the Foresta Foundation, our trees are growing in a designated area that you can visit anytime. Soon, we’ll be able to relax in the shade of our very own Surf Canaries Forest!

Each tree absorbs approximately 10 kilos of CO2 per year, making this a perfect way to offset your vacation’s carbon footprint. We'll provide you with the GPS location of your tree and send you a tree certificate, so you can visit and enjoy its shade on your next trip.
