Surf Canaries is a small, family-run surf school in Gran Canaria, based right on the beach at Playa del Inglés, just behind the Maspalomas dunes. Since 2007, we’ve been offering high-quality surf lessons for beginners and intermediate surfers focused on safety, fun and fine-tuning your skills.

Timetable
We generally start at 9:30 in the mornings and finish up around 13.30.
However, we are highly dependent on surfing conditions and tides so this timetable might change on some days.
Our classes run from Monday to Saturday.

Surf Canaries is the best surf school I’ve experienced so far. You feel welcome straight away. Lessons start with theory, followed by video analysis on day 3 (or earlier), surfskate training for turns, and very personal, individual coaching from the instructors. Highly professional, but always with plenty of fun and good vibes. I learned a lot once again and I’m very grateful to Julien and Jordan. I’d come back anytime!

"An incredible experience with Surf Canaries!" We had a great morning at La Laja with instructors Julien and Candela. Both were super professional, friendly, and made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. The lessons were very well organized, adapted to our level, and had a fun, relaxed vibe. "The Best surf school I've ever been to."
I’ve taken surf lessons in a few places, and this has been the best so far. The instructors are professional, friendly, and really know how to adapt to different skill levels. The lessons felt well-structured but still relaxed and fun.
The beach location is ideal for learning, and the team made sure everyone felt safe and supported in the water. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for the best surf school in Gran Canaria.

"Best Surf School Ever"
Since 6 years now we have taken some surf classes every year, the team of this surf
school is absolutely amazing. You learn a lot even from day one on and it is always a lot of fun. The teachers are very professional and taking
care of anyone in the group, also you get video analysis and photos from the day! We can absolutely recommend this great place.

"The Best Surfing School I’ve Ever Tried"
The way the instructors teach you the basics in a classroom setting, then have you
practice the moves on the beach, then push you onto your first waves, cheer you on and applaud when you are doing well, is just wonderful. The groups are kept
small, 5 students per instructor max, and they teach and coach specifically to you. Their constant feedback and tips make you progress
super fast. And the instructor’s enthusiasm just makes it super fun. They also have a photographer come out, and they get you the pictures for free!
Can’t repeat it enough, this school is highly highly recommended.
